Project Manager

Are you a skilled Project Manager with a passion for delivering excellence in engineering and control projects? We are seeking a dedicated individual to lead the successful delivery of projects from inception to closure, ensuring safety, quality, on-time completion, and financial targets are met.

The Role

Reporting to the Deliver Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of engineering and control projects. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing projects from initiation through planning, design, execution, commissioning, and closure.

- Ensuring projects achieve specific outcomes related to safety, quality, on-time completion, and financial targets.

- Utilizing multi-network capabilities to meet different customers’ network standards.

- Primarily managing electricity maintenance and corrective tasks within our Zone substations.

- Leading project management of upgrades or development of industrial customers’ electrical networks as required.

- Providing periodic support with design and estimating tasks.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll have a minimum of two years of experience in project management, ideally within the energy or utilities sector. You will also have:

- Ability to manage complex projects across various stages of the project lifecycle.

- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of SM-EIs with NZQA or equivalent

- Knowledge of engineering principles and control systems.

- Familiarity with electricity network maintenance and customer network standards.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
