The role
Reporting to the Connections Design Engineering Team Leader, as the
Connections Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing design and
quote services for electrical customer connection works in line with
Northpower, Vector and customer expectations whilst adhering to full compliance on
processes, procedures and HSQE requirements.
Based in Auckland, you will also:
- Carry out site visits
for each job to gather all data, measurements, photos required for preparation
of high quality scope and price deliverables
- Quote all work accurately and in line with the company’s expectations around
the use of Unit rates and bespoke pricing as required
- Provide guidance to all clients/customers, ensuring work is designed in a
manner that it is 100% compliant with Network, Safety and regulatory standards.

About you
You
will have either graduate level with
Electrical Engineering background or previous experience in Electrical Distribution Network
Design/Estimating.
Your safety focus, professionalism
and willingness to learn will carry weight for success. We're looking for an
individual who can demonstrate the following:

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication, written and verbal
- MS Office suite with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Very good organisational, planning skills, and being mindful with quality standards at all times
- Comfortable liaising with various people and departments in a multi-cultural
environment
- High Attention to detail with accuracy
- Efficient, process orientated person
- Ability to be flexible when required with a can-do attitude towards achieving
business and client objectives
