Transmission Line Mechanic

The role
As a Transmission Line Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include constructing and maintaining transmission lines according to customer and Network specifications. This position is located at our Rotorua Depot, with direct reporting to the Supervisor. Safety, both for yourself and those in your vicinity, is paramount in this role.

The key responsibilities for the Transmission Line Mechanic position include, but are not limited to:
- Working on multiple projects with plenty of forward work for the upcoming months
- Assist with work plans and ensure that relevant field paperwork is completed as necessary
- Maintain transmission line network 
- Construction of transmission lines 
- Dismantle transmission lines

What we’re looking for?
You will be working on a variety of exciting projects and may have to do some occasional weekend work.  To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills:

- NZ EWRB Practicing Licence (preferable but we can support you with this)
- TLM, E2. Level 4 or Relevant NZ Gridskills qualification
- A valid Class 2 driver’s licence, (preferable not essential)
- A great work attitude and willingness to be part of a diverse team along with a strong focus to health & safety
- Ability to communicate and work under minimum supervision.
