A pivotal role has become
available for a Financial Accountant to join our Auckland team in delivering
exceptional operational, and financial outcomes for our Corporate Business.
The role
This will be a rewarding opportunity for a confident professional to
fully showcase the breadth and depth of your skills while working with people
with immense levels of integrity and capability. Reporting to the Group Financial Accountant you will
be responsible for:
- Preparation and posting of month end journals
(Leave/Salary accruals, insurance, FBT etc)
- Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations
- Monthly lease accounting journals and lease
reconciliations
- Preparation of GST, FBT and statistic returns
- Preparation of the year-end financial statements
- Assisting with year-end audit requirements

About you
This is a busy role with
tight deadlines, it goes without saying you will be resilient, have a high
degree of integrity, drive for achievement and comfortable dealing with people
at all levels.
To be successful in this role
you must have at least 2+ years’ post-qualification,
commercial experience. You should also be/ need:

CA Qualified or equivalent
-
Big 4 qualified is preferred
-
Experience with complex accounting transactions
-
Knowledge of NZ IFRS and lease accounting
-
Demonstrated experience with preparation of financial statements
-
Knowledge of NZ taxation including GST, FBT and income tax
-
Intermediate to advance level of proficiency in MS Excel
- Enjoy
working in team environments, yet able to work self-directed
- Experience with JDE or other equivalent ERP system will be an advantage
Effective
verbal and written communication skills would be essential in conjunction with the ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines.
High attention to detail is a must along with continuous improvement, proactive
mind-set and strong organizational skills.
