The role
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our transmission team on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of transmission line projects, from scoping to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget control. Reporting to the Delivery Manager - Projects, you'll drive outstanding results for Northpower and our customers. This role will be based either in Hamilton or Rotorua office.
Being the Project Manager, you will also be responsible for:
- Managing projects from start to finish, on time and within budget
- Handling customer interactions and coordinating resources
- Overseeing financial performance, invoicing, and project close-out
- Supporting design and estimating when needed.

What we’re looking for?
You’ll have a background in transmission whether as a Project Manager, QS or Engineer along with experience managing projects.
Additionally, possessing the following would be beneficial:
- Industry knowledge and experience in Transmission industry
- Strong understanding of project and job management fundamentals
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint would be an added advantage
- Full clean Class 1 driver’s licence
- Strong communication, financial, and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to motivate and influence others while demonstrating integrity and trust.
This role will demand a high level of integrity and focus on safety and quality while achieving on-time completion of projects and hitting financial targets.
