2nd Response Supervisor – Overhead

The role
As the 2nd Response Supervisor - Overhead, you will lead and manage a skilled field team to deliver high-quality service while upholding safety and cost efficiency. You will play a vital part in overseeing daily operations, supporting our team of trade and technical experts, and developing trainees to reach their full potential. Reporting to the Delivery Manager – Second Response, this position is crucial to maintaining performance and operational success.

The key responsibility for this position includes, but are not limited to:
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering a safe, productive, and supportive work culture
- Communicate effectively, providing clear goals, feedback, and performance development
- Plan, schedule, and resource work efficiently to meet customer needs
- Ensure compliance with safety, equipment, and resource standards
- Oversee financial performance, job completion, and continuous improvement through audits and feedback

Who we’re looking for?
We’re after a skilled candidate with strong leadership abilities and a focus on safety. You will be organised, able to manage teams and deliver quality results. 

To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills:
- Level 4 Certificate in Electricity Supply (or similar) and 5+ years in electricity distribution
- Knowledge of NZ electricity and safety codes; strong health, safety, and environmental focus
- Proven team leadership, effective relationship-building, and strong communication skills
- Full driver’s license, understanding of financial information and proficiency in Excel, Word and Microsoft Project.
