The Role:
As Project Manager, you
will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of Northpower Electricity Networks projects, from project
initiation to project close out. This includes working collaboratively across
Northpower’s various teams and external contractors, consultants, industry
professionals and community stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
You will develop timelines,
milestones and budgets for each project you are responsible for. You will
engage with network management and provide reporting on project progress and
status. You will be responsible for identifying and managing project risks and
constraints and the appropriate application of project management frameworks,
to ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget.
- Manage network infrastructure projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to drive project success.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Provide regular reporting on project progress, costs, and performance metrics.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices.

About you:
- 5+ years of project management experience in the electricity, engineering, or infrastructure sector.
- Relevant project management qualification (PMP/ PMI certification or equivalent)Degree in Business Managment/ Electrical/ Civil - Engineering preferred but not essential.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership.
- Knowledge of construction, power transmission/distribution, or the NZ electricity industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and financial reporting.
