The
Role:
We are looking for an
experienced Programme Manager to join our team. This newly created role will
see you take charge of managing and reporting on the delivery of Northpower's projects.
As the Programme Manager, you
will lead a team, and
driving the efficient delivery of key projects. This includes overseeing projects related to both operational and
business change initiatives. You will be pivotal in ensuring projects are
delivered within scope, on time, and on budget. We are looking for someone based in either Palmerston North or New Plymouth.
In
this role, you will:
- Manage and report on the delivery of non-network capex projects and business change projects.
- Lead and support the initiation and delivery of key projects, ensuring that they meet budget, timeline, and quality objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure all business cases are developed and that governance and reporting are robust.
- Act as a change champion for the business, leading project change management activities.
- Manage a small team of direct reports, providing guidance, delegation, and performance feedback.

About
You:
We are looking for an
experienced Programme Manager with a background in managing large-scale
projects, business change, and infrastructure.
To
succeed in this role, you will need:
- A project management qualification (Prince2, PMP, or similar)
- Proven experience in managing complex programmes and projects
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting customer and regulatory requirements
- Experience in infrastructure, engineering, or electricity-related industries is highly advantageous
- A background in managing a team, with the ability to lead and mentor staff effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
