The
role
As a Business Coordinator at
Northpower, you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting a high-performing
team of administrators in our Central Contracting – Western Region. This is a
vital role focused on the efficient delivery of administrative services that
support key operational and project outcomes across the business. You’ll
supervise day-to-day tasks, provide ongoing performance feedback and
development opportunities, and ensure that workloads are managed effectively.
You’ll be based in either
Palmerston North or Masterton, working in a collaborative environment where
leadership, communication, and organisation are key. Your role will involve
managing business coordination processes, supporting operational targets, and
driving continuous improvement across the team.
The
key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial and non-financial administrative processes to ensure consistency and compliance
- Managing reporting requirements, including compliance, training coordination, purchasing, and subcontractor processes.
- Supporting timely and accurate project documentation, credit checks, fleet and asset management, and customer invoicing.
- Supporting customer and project delivery through reliable business administration and coordination.

About
you
We’re looking for a proven team
leader with strong coordination skills and experience in administration within
a fast-paced operational environment. If you’re an organised, solutions-focused
professional with a passion for people leadership, this is the opportunity for

To
succeed in this role, you’ll bring some of the following skills and experience:
- NZQA Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)
- A full NZ driver’s licence (Class 1 minimum)
- Proven experience leading a team
- Strong understanding of business coordination, including purchasing, invoicing, and reporting
- Experience in the electricity or infrastructure industry is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, solve problems, and meet deadlines under pressure
- Commitment to health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
