Our Auckland Contracting team is on the hunt for qualified Cable Jointers to
join them and work with lines up to 33kv.
The Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be working within a
small team and primarily responsible for the troubleshooting and finding
solutions to keep the lines up and running.
You will also:
- Install, replace and repair underground distribution assets
- Jointing and termination of distribution assets up to and including
33kV/1000kV
- Excavate and reinstate underground cable installation sites
- Carry out routine inspections, fault finding and repair underground
installations, underground cables and testing of instruments

About you
To be considered for this role you’ll need to have:
- Experience to carry out EHV, HV and LV cable jointing and terminating
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a cable jointer
- Preference will be given to candidates that either hold EWRB registration as
a Cable Jointer or are ready to apply
- Minimum 2 years wiping experience
- Sound technical knowledge of cables and local network systems, procedures and
standards
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A team player and ‘can do’ attitude with strong interpersonal skills working
in a multi-cultural environment
