Lead our team and drive safe, effective fault response
across the network in Manawatu and Wairarapa!
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and
experienced Faults Supervisor to join our team in Palmerston North as part of
our newly secured contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe,
efficient, and effective management of fault response activities across the
network while providing critical technical support and planning assistance.
The Role:
In this role, you will:
- Lead
and support a team of technical staff, ensuring seamless daily operations
and compliance
- Maintain
and manage 1st and 2nd Response rosters to optimise resource allocation
- Organise
and assign Standovers, Close Approach Permits, High Loads, 3rd Party
Switching, GIS Checks, and Power Quality Investigation Recorder
installations and removals
- Scope,
plan, and coordinate people, equipment, materials, and sub-contractors to
achieve efficient work outcomes
- Monitor
working hours and fatigue management to maintain safety and productivity
standards
- Be
part of a faults roster to support staff after hours, ensuring response
readiness
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant
trade qualifications and current practising licenses
- Proven
experience in a supervisory role, managing technical or trade teams
effectively
- A
solid understanding of relevant Codes of Practice, Policies, Standards,
Work Procedures, and the Safe Manual – Electricity Industry (SE-MI)
- Strong
leadership, planning, and decision-making skills
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and
motivate
- A
proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
