We're looking for a Delivery Manager - Design &
Estimation to join our Contracting Division. This role can be based in
Palmerston North or Masterton, depending on the right candidate.
The role:
As a Delivery Manager - Design & Estimation, you’ll lead our Design
Engineering team, ensuring design compliance with PowerCo standards and driving
productivity across various projects. You’ll work closely with Project
Managers, Design Engineers, and our external stakeholders to achieve
outstanding project outcomes while building strong relationships with key
stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing
the team undertaking tender and design works on PowerCo’s network.
- Monitoring,
analysing, and reporting on performance against SLAs and performance
indicators.
- Ensuring
compliance with Northpower, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Building
and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external
stakeholders.
- Leading
team development through mentorship and effective communication.
- Identifying
opportunities for business improvement and enhanced safety practices.
About you:
We’re after someone who brings expertise in design and estimation with strong
leadership skills. You will:
- Have
a BE Electrical or Electrical Diploma with a minimum of three years of
experience.
- Possess
at least 12 years of operational experience managing a Design Engineering
team in electrical distribution networks.
- Demonstrate
proven leadership in a multicultural environment with strong team
management skills.
- Show
the ability to foresee challenges, solve problems efficiently, and
influence positive outcomes.
- Exhibit
exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and customer focus.
