About the Role:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, isolating, and restoring
power during outages and performing switching and earthing operations. You'll
play a key role in maintaining safety and service continuity for our customers
and the community.
- Perform approved HV switching and network isolation for
both planned and unplanned work
- Test and earth electrical equipment according to procedures
- Respond to network faults, isolate issues, and restore power
- Support emergency services with electrical isolations and hazard management
- Maintain accurate communication with control and dispatch teams
- Ensure safety compliance and contribute to continuous improvement
- Deliver outstanding customer service in high-pressure situations
- Work on a 12-hour rostered shift pattern
About You:
- EWRB Electrical Registration (required)
- Class 2 driver’s licence (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a registered Electrician or Line Mechanic
- Experience with HV switching, fault response, EPVs, and cranes
- Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, calm approach under pressure
- Excellent safety record and commitment to health & safety practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
