Northpower is seeking an experienced and organised Works Planner to join our team. This role plays a critical part in the successful planning, coordination, and completion of work packs, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational, regulatory, and customer requirements.
About the Role:
As a Works Planner, you will be responsible for the
end-to-end management of work packs, from preparation through to completion and
invoicing. This includes creating electronic work packs in Northpower systems,
managing purchasing and consents, coordinating handover requirements such as
B4UDIG plans and stand-overs, and completing quality assurance checks. You will
ensure all documentation, pricing, GIS and SAP updates, supplier invoices,
photos, and reports are accurate and completed on time. You will also support
invoicing processes, attend invoicing meetings, and maintain WIP and aged WIP
reporting.
Beyond work pack management, you will contribute to
performance delivery, continuous improvement, and strong working relationships
across the business. You will support operational planning activities, assist
the DTS Manager with programme delivery, and ensure all Northpower property and
equipment is well maintained. Health, safety, quality, and environmental
compliance will be a key focus, with a strong emphasis on meeting industry
standards, reporting incidents, and always promoting safe work practices.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will have a high level of computer literacy, strong attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Electrical registration or relevant industry experience is preferred, along with the ability to work collaboratively, build positive relationships, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
