About the role:
- Reporting to the Accounting
Manager you will be responsible for:
- Preparation, review and posting of month end journals (Leave/Salary accruals, insurance, FBT etc)
- Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations
- Monthly lease accounting journals and lease reconciliations
- Preparation of Income Tax, GST and FBT returns
- Preparation of the year-end financial statements
- Assisting with year-end audit requirements and managing end to end audit process
- Assist with accounting and tax technical matters
- Other process improvement projects
About you:
- Ideally
you will have at least 3+ years’ relevant experiences and will have:
- Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent
- Experience with utilities or similar complex organisation
- Knowledge of NZ IFRS
- Big 4 qualified preferred
- Knowledge of NZ taxation including GST, FBT, Income tax and Taxlab software
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Excel
Good verbal
and written communication skills would be essential along with the ability to multi-task
and deliver to deadlines. Attention to
detail is a must along with a continuous improvements mind set. Experience with
JDE or other equivalent ERP system will be an advantage.
