Facilities Coordinator

6 MONTH FIXED TERM ROLE
We are looking for a proactive and organised Facilities Coordinator to support the smooth operation, safety, and compliance of our physical infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring our facilities, services, and resources operate efficiently to support day-to-day business operations.
Reporting to the Assets & Supply Chain Manager, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to coordinate maintenance, manage contractors, and uphold health, safety, and compliance standards across our facilities.

About the role
In this hands-on coordination role, you will be responsible for:

- Coordinating routine maintenance and emergency repairs across buildings, equipment, and systems
- Managing service requests and ensuring timely resolution
- Conducting regular facility inspections to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Liaising with vendors and contractors (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.)
- Obtaining quotes, scheduling works, and monitoring quality and performance
- Maintaining accurate records of contracts, warranties, compliance, and inspections
- Supporting facility upgrades, refurbishments, and minor projects
- Monitoring facilities-related budgets, expenses, and inventory
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

You will also play a role in continuous improvement, contributing ideas to improve safety, work practices, and operational efficiency, while consistently role-modelling Northpower’s values and behaviours.

About you
You’ll be a strong coordinator with a practical mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will bring:

- 2–5 years’ experience in facilities, property, or operations coordination
- Experience coordinating maintenance, repairs, and third-party service providers
- Knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Exposure to health and safety compliance and building regulations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a customer-focused approach
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and facilities or digital reporting systems

Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Facilities Management, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Health & Safety certifications (e.g. First Aid, Fire Warden, Site Safe) are advantageous
