Analyst to help drive that change.
Reporting to the Strategic Initiatives
Programme Manager and working closely with Network, Asset Management,
Operations and Digital teams, you'll act as the bridge between our business
teams and Digital team, helping identify opportunities, improve processes, and
deliver solutions that support Northpower's strategic goals. You'll work
closely with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, gather
requirements, facilitate workshops, analyse processes, and guide initiatives
from concept through to implementation. Major initiatives include
the delivery of a GIS Replacement Programme, records management improvements,
and other strategic business transformation initiatives.
This is a
varied role where you'll be involved in process improvement, business analysis,
change management, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery. You'll help
document current and future state processes, support user testing and training,
and ensure business outcomes remain at the centre of every solution.
Key
responsibilities include:
- Gathering and documenting business
requirements
- Analysing business processes and
identifying improvement opportunities
- Facilitating workshops and user design
sessions
- Preparing business cases,
recommendations, and cost-benefit analyses
- Supporting project planning, testing,
and implementation activities
- Supporting change impact assessments,
business readiness, and user adoption activities.
- Developing process documentation,
workflows, and training materials
- Building strong relationships with
stakeholders across the business
- Supporting continuous improvement and
business transformation initiatives

About You
We're
looking for an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys solving problems,
improving processes, and working with people at all levels of an organisation.
You'll
bring:
- 2-4 years' experience in a Business
Analyst role, including experience supporting technology-enabled business
transformation initiatives.
- Strong business process analysis and
process design experience
- Experience gathering, documenting, and
translating business requirements
- Knowledge of solution analysis and
delivery methodologies
- The ability to translate business needs
into technical requirements and vice versa
- Experience developing Business Requirements Documents, Process maps, User stories
- Experience working with operational and technical stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements.
- Experience supporting testing, training
design, and user adoption activities
- Strong stakeholder management and
relationship-building skills
- Workshop facilitation experience and the
confidence to engage diverse audiences
- A continuous improvement mindset,
ideally with exposure to Lean principles
- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
