Outages and faults for business

For some businesses, a power outage can cause significant disruption to your business, as well as present safety risks to your staff and customers. We want to help ensure you’re well prepared so you can minimise the effects of an outage at your place of business.

How we'll let you know about planned outages

1.

At least five days prior to the outage, a letter will be sent to the address noted on the ICP notifying you of the planned outage.

2.

At least three days prior to the planned outage, a follow up email will be sent. One of our team may also call your business.

3.

For major outages, we will also place adverts with local print media, radio and on social media groups.

4.

The planned outage will take place. You will only be notified again if the works take longer than expected.
