Northpower is a proud sponsor of the Northland Emergency Services Trust’s (NEST) Electricity Rescue Helicopter Service, alongside neighbouring lines company, Top Energy, and the many other local businesses and individuals who contribute to this dedicated Northland emergency service.

The helicopter service has been caring for Northlanders since 1988. Over this time they have transported well over 28,000 people in need of emergency care.

The Northland Rescue Helicopter is a charitable trust, ultimately owned by the Northland community.

NEST’s annual high profile annual appeals raise funds to support the operations of the service, including wages, training and insurance costs. Northpower and Top Energy jointly contribute funds dollar for dollar to meet public donations up to a maximum of $150,000 each.
