Northpower EPro8 Challenge
Northpower is proud to sponsor of the EPro8 Northland inter-school challenge, a science and engineering competition for students Year 5 -13 to represent their school and compete for the title of Northpower EPro8 Northland Champions
Thousands of students around New Zealand take part in the EPro8 challenge each year. The challenge includes in classroom activities and the competition events incorporate science, electronics, engineering and mathematics challenges and encourages teamwork.
For the challenge events each team works with a set of equipment that is easy to use and includes gears, pulleys, wheels, joiners, nuts and bolts, framing, motors and electronics designed to promote science, engineering and problem solving.
We encourage Northland schools to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) learning and see EPro8 as a way to develop these skills for students in a hands on and fun way.
Northpower has EPro8 kits available for schools to use, if you are interested in borrowing a kit from us, please get in touch.
