The Northpower Wild Kiwi is possibly the toughest half marathon in New Zealand, taking participants into one of the most scenic landscapes in New Zealand – the Whangarei Heads.

The Whangarei Heads, in our own backyard, is iconic New Zealand – you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere in the world quite like it. The views go for days and the trails will knock your running socks off!

The event includes a “wild” kiwi multi-sport event – 10km sea kayak, 25km mountain bike ride and 14km run, a “mild” kiwi multisport event – 5km sea kayak, 18km mountain bike ride and 10km run, a 21km half marathon, 15km walk/run. 8km walk/run and a kids dash.

A portion of the proceeds from the events are donated to support the work of the Bream Head Conservation Trust, a group of volunteers committed to restoring the Bream Head Scenic Reserve to its former glory with healthy forest and abundant bird song.
