Northpower provides contracting services across the North Island including engineering, infrastructure management and maintenance and construction.

Our approach to wages and salaries

Our remuneration is externally benchmarked to ensure we’re paying rates relative to the market and salaries are reviewed every year.

We pay a living wage

A living wage in New Zealand is currently $26 per hour.

Our approach to 90-day trials 

The 90-day trial period is a contracted agreement that can be used by employers to assess the suitability of an employee for a role, meaning that the employer can dismiss a new employee within an initial 90-day window, without any risk.

At Northpower we have comprehensive and robust recruitment and selection processes in place and our in-house team do a great job of selecting candidates that are a good fit for the team, so we do not include a 90-day trial period clause in our employment agreements.
