We have the scale, capacity and the capability to identify and fix faults for our clients in record time, night or day. When our clients experience a fault, we mobilise to restore power to their customers.

A team of nine technicians, fitters and cable jointers – quickly diagnosed the fault within the feeder cables, which was located in an underground concrete joint bay. The team excavated the joint bay to expose the faulted section which was removed and replacement cable jointed in.

During this cable replacement, the team performed additional jointing on a separate cable, when early signs of degradation were identified.

The rapid response and resolution saw the fault located and the repair completed ahead of the Christmas Eve deadline, over the course of 400 person-hours. It demonstrates Northpower’s depth of organisational capability to deliver results for our valued clients – even when it’s right before the busy festive season.
