Northpower acquires Linepower
Northpower is pleased to confirm its acquisition of Linepower, the New Plymouth based network contracting operation, effective from 3 April 2023.
Linepower’s team provide Electrical, Civil & Traffic Management services to network customers, farmers, developers, commercial and industrial customers across Taranaki and the Wanganui/Manawatu regions.
Growth, opportunities, and a new family
“There is a strong cultural fit between the organisations, and alignment to Northpower’s growth strategy, presenting an opportunity for us to grow our footprint into Taranaki.” says Onno Mulder, Chief Operating Officer Northpower Contracting.
Being located close to our customers gives us the opportunity to grow through the recruitment and development of resources locally to support the regional electricity supply and allows us to respond to events like the recent storms – moving teams into affected areas to help with the restoration of power when required.”
Linepower owners David and Leasa MacLeod, are excited by the opportunities “being part of larger New Zealand owned and operated organisation, that shares our customer focus and values-based culture was an important part of our decision to sell, and we are thrilled to be part of Northpower, and the opportunities this offers our staff,” said David. Leasa is staying on as part of the Northpower team.
