Partnering locally to train our cadets
We are committed to offering training and cadetships for young people, providing them with the opportunity to pursue a career in the electricity supply industry.
Initially training was conducted in house, but as the programme expanded, we sought a partner who understood our motivations and shared our cultural values. Our decision to partner with Lines and Cables was influenced by their deep understanding of our business, our requirements and our culture.
They share our belief in a holistic approach towards training and put important cultural values at the centre of their teachings to connect with our cadets on a deeper level than standard health and safety training.
These are Manaakitanga (the well-being of others), Whanaungatanga (maintaining positive relationships with others), and Kotahitanga (unity and a shared sense of belonging).

Supporting business growth in our region
Our partnership and support has facilitated allowed Lines and Cables to expand and grow their business, enabling them to broaden their service offerings to the industry and take on additional staff. By partnering locally to nurture the next generation of electrical industry professionals, we are supporting the growth of the local economy while increasing our capacity to provide serve communities throughout the North Island.
