Shared learnings for better outcomes
Keeping our teams and the public safe is our key priority at Northpower.
Northpower’s National Safety Forum meet three times a year, bringing together health and safety representatives, field staff and leaders from across the business. Each meeting is marked by a safety theme to guide our discussions.
The National Safety Forum encourages open and meaningful discussion about current safety compliance issues so we can share feedback, learnings, and find a path forward together. Specialist guest speakers are invited to come along and share their experiences and this encourages further discussion and learning.
A month before each National Safety Forum, we invite the local safety chairs, co-chairs and representatives to a development day. This development day helps to prepare the members of the local safety forums to present at the National Safety Forum on a topic that is raised at their meetings.
Focused on connection, reflection and action, the forum reinforces the role our people play in looking after our own wellbeing and the safety of our team around us.
The National Safety Forum continues to be a constructive place for our people to get together to prioritise and discuss safety to keep our teams safe.
