Terms and conditions for the Northpower Stay Safe Together: Summer Safety Campaign promotion running Thursday, 5 December 2025 – Friday, 30 January 2026.

1. Promotion Overview

The Summer Safety Campaign promotion for Northpower will run from Thursday, 5 December 2025 to Friday 30 January 2026. This promotion offers participants the chance to complete a Summer Safety Quiz and enter weekly prize draws to win Mitre 10 MEGA products and vouchers.

2. Eligibility

The promotion is open to residents of Whangārei and Kaipara districts aged 18 years and over. Employees of Northpower, Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter

To enter the prize draw, participants must:

• Complete the Summer Safety Quiz in full at northpower.nz/summersafety
• Provide accurate contact details (first name, last name, email address)
• Consent to receiving the prize if selected as a winner

Multiple entries by the same person are permitted, but only one prize per person will be awarded during the promotional period.

4. Prize Details

Weekly Prize Draws:

• Weekly prizes will be drawn throughout the campaign period (8 weeks total)
• Prizes include Mitre 10 MEGA products and gift vouchers
• Specific prize details will be announced via Northpower’s social media channels and website

Major Prize Draw:

• One major prize pack will be drawn at the conclusion of the campaign
• Major prize includes a selection of Mitre 10 MEGA products (valued at $950 RRP)
• All completed entries received throughout the campaign period are eligible for the major prize draw

5. Prize Draw Process

• Weekly prize draws will occur each Friday during the campaign period
• Winners will be selected randomly from all eligible entries received during the previous 7 days
• The major prize draw will take place on Monday, 2 February 2026
• Winners will be contacted via email within 3 working days of the draw
• Winners must respond within 7 days to claim their prize
• If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 7 days, a new winner will be drawn.

6. Prize Collection

• Winners will be notified of prize collection arrangements via email
• Prizes must be collected within 30 days of notification
• Prizes can be collected from:
  Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei
  46 Porowini Avenue
  Morningside, Whangārei 0110
• Winners may be required to provide photo identification upon collection
• Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or substituted for alternative items

7. Personal Information and Privacy

Personal information collected through this promotion will be used solely for:

• Administering the prize draw
• Contacting winners
• Sending occasional promotional and safety information from Northpower and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei (participants may opt out)
• Personal information will be handled in accordance with Northpower’s Privacy Statement and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei’s privacy policy.
• By entering, participants consent to Northpower and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei using their name for promotional purposes if they are the recipient of prizes (photo not required)
• Personal information will not be shared with third parties except as required to administer the competition and prize draw

8. General Conditions

• This promotion is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives
• Northpower reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and the validity of entries
• Northpower reserves the right to disqualify any entry if fraudulent activity or tampering is suspected
• Northpower reserves the right to modify or terminate the promotion at any time without prior notice, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority
• Prizes are subject to availability and may be substituted for items of equal or greater value at Northpower’s discretion
• Northpower and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei accept no responsibility for late, lost, or misdirected entries
• Northpower and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei are not liable for any loss or damage suffered by entrants as a result of participating in this promotion

9. Publicity

• Winners may be asked to participate in promotional activities, but are not obliged to do so
• No further identifying information will be published without express consent

10. Liability

• To the extent permitted by law, Northpower and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei exclude all liability for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by entrants in connection with this promotion or any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law
• Northpower and Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, or providers, or software failure that may affect the receipt of entries

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from this promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in this promotion and completing the Northpower Summer Safety Quiz, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
