Line Mechanic

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Line Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical lines, ensuring that all work meets customer and network requirements in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.

In this role, you will:
- Construct and maintain overhead electrical lines up to 33kV.
- Install and replace electricity network pole structures and overhead conductors.
- Operate ground and structure-mounted electrical equipment associated with electric lines.
- Develop work plans for the construction and servicing of electrical lines.
- Complete all necessary field paperwork, incident reports, and asset documentation in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental requirements, and maintain excellent service standards.
- Contribute to team performance, ensuring efficiency and high-quality work delivery.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- ERWB Registration
- A valid NZ Driver’s Licence
- Strong experience in overhead lines and electrical network operations
- A strong safety record and adherence to safety standards
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- The ability to work as part of a team and self-manage workloads
- A positive attitude and the physical ability to perform the role
