cables up to 33kv?
The role
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be working with a friendly team in
Auckland to install Network electrical assets including:
- Install, replace, and repair underground distribution assets
- Jointing and termination of distribution assets up to and including 22kV
- Testing and commissioning of 400V distribution installations
- Operate electrical equipment associated with lines up to 33kV/1000kV
- Excavate and reinstate underground cable installation sites
- Install cables, terminations and joints in polymeric and/or paper insulated
power cables

About you
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have:
- Demonstrated experience to carry out HV and LV cable jointing, terminating
and excavation
- Valid class 1 Drivers Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a cable jointer
- Preference will be given to candidates that either hold EWRB registration as
a Cable Jointer or have an EWRB limited Cable Jointer Licence
- Sound technical knowledge of cables and local network systems, procedures and
standards
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A team player and ‘can do’ attitude with strong interpersonal skills working
in a multi-cultural environment
