Northpower is excited to announce the launch of our very own scholarships through Whare Ako, our house of learning. The scholarships reflect our strong commitment to the ongoing learning and development of our people through building and sharing our collective knowledge and expertise. Scholarships cover the cost of two years of tuition and offer recipients a chance to work with us for at least two years after they graduate. If you’re studying engineering or related fields, get ready to launch your career with Northpower!
We are prioritising applications from people with a connection to the Northpower whānau, whether through family connections or recommendations from our valued partners. We are excited to provide paid tuition and work opportunities to attract talent and connect with our communities.
Scholarships cover a range of qualifications across different departments, including degrees in Electrical Engineering, and the NZ Diploma in Electrical Engineering:
- 2 years’ fees-free study
- Potential full-time employment after graduation

Scholarship information
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a New Zealand citizen or have New Zealand permanent residency
- Be enrolled in one of the following New Zealand qualifications:

- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (entering your 2nd or 4th year of study in 2025)
- NZ Diploma Engineering – Electrical (currently completing study this year)
