You’ll work closely with managers, engineers, platform
developers, analysts, and external vendors to deliver a variety of digital and
business improvement initiatives.
You’ll lead cross-functional project teams and take
end-to-end ownership of projects across the full delivery lifecycle. Upcoming
programmes of work include initiatives such as a GIS replacement, field tools,
and records management system implementations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining
scope and developing business cases in collaboration with stakeholders
- Delivering
projects within the Northpower Network Strategic Initiatives portfolio,
from vendor selection through to implementation, delivery, and handover
- Driving
outcomes that support Customer Experience, Asset Management, Network
Operations, and other core functions
- Supporting
change management activities alongside analysts, developers, and business
users
- Monitoring,
tracking, and reporting on progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies
across multiple projects
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in a
similar project management position within a digital and/or electricity or
utilities environment, ideally with exposure to asset management or operational
systems.
You’ll understand what it takes to deliver complex projects, manage change effectively, and provide clear governance and reporting.
You’ll also be comfortable working across a range of project management and software development methodologies, including environments involving integrated, spatial, and cloud-based systems.
- Experience
with Geospatial, Distribution Management/SCADA, Customer Management, and
Asset Management systems (advantageous)
- Strong
digital capability, including proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project
- Strong
relationship-building skills and a collaborative working style
- Excellent
influencing and change management capability
- Clear,
confident communication skills (written and verbal)
- The
ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders
- A
proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Solid
financial literacy, including budgeting and reporting
- The
