To report an electricity fault in the Whangārei and Kaipara regions please phone us on 0800 10 40 40.

In case of an emergency during a power outage, phone 111 immediately.

Shutdown notifications

All customers affected by a non-urgent outage will be notified at least 5 working days prior to the outage.

If you have not received a notification from Northpower regarding an outage, please ensure your contact and postal details are correct with your electricity retailer.

Sometimes due to weather or safety reasons, we may be unable to undertake the work on the day advertised. Work will be cancelled or postponed and we will send a notification advising the alternate date.
