About the role:
We’re looking for a Design Engineer to provide electricity
network and customer-initiated works design and tendering services. This is a
fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the success
of one of New Zealand’s leading energy service providers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing
and pricing LV electricity distribution supplies for subdivisions and
commercial developments.
- Designing
and pricing HV network infrastructure and substation works, including
overhead/underground installations, conversions, reinforcements, and
relocations.
- Preparing
tender and contractual documentation.
- Producing
CAD construction and as-built drawings.
- Collaborating
with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on
time.
- Ensuring
compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
About you:
- Bachelor
of Electrical Engineering or similar qualification.
- Minimum
5 years’ experience in the electricity industry in design engineering or
delivery roles.
- Strong
knowledge of electrical distribution design and pricing.
- Excellent
communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability
to plan and manage workload to meet deadlines without compromising safety
or quality.
- Full
NZ Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge
of Vector Electricity network (preferred).
