About the role:
As Design Engineer, you
will be responsible for designing, pricing, planning and tendering services,
while contributing to the overall success of the business. This role will report to the Design Engineering Team Leader and will be based at our Auckland
Depot.
- Prepare work methodologies and ensure designs and pricing are peer reviewed prior to submission
- Provide technical inputs for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and client representatives
- Visit site locations to scope and tender for new projects
- Provide accurate pricing, tender preparation, and project documentation
- Create CAD construction and as-built drawings to specification.

About you:
We’re looking for someone with
experience as a Design Engineer or Estimator in the electricity distribution
industry. Electrical engineering graduates are also welcome to apply.
Your attitude, mindset, and willingness to learn will be the key to your success.
- Good knowledge of electrical engineering, power systems and distribution network
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication, written and verbal
- A Full clean NZ Driver’s licence
- MS Office suite with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Very good organisational, planning skills, and being mindful on safety, quality standards at all times
- Comfortable liaising with various people and departments in a multi-cultural environment
- High Attention to detail with accuracy
- Ability to be flexible when required
