Distribution Programme Manager

The Role:
The Distribution Programme Manager will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of distribution projects that support the business objectives and strategic goals of Northpower Network.

To use appropriate project management frameworks, tools and techniques to plan and implement projects, ensuring delivery of benefits.

- Project Management: Oversee and manage network distribution projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline adherence.
- Planning & Execution: Develop project plans, including program, budgeting and risk assessment.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Performance & Reporting: Track project performance, produce reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Network delivery team and work with the team to foster a collaborative, positive and motivated culture.
- Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to Northpower’s safety, quality, and environmental standards.

About You:
- Tertiary qualification in electrical, civil, mechanical, telecommunications, or SCADA/control fields.
- Project management qualification (PMP or equivalent preferred).
- Experience in power distribution, construction, or the electricity industry in New Zealand.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and changing requirements.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
