About the Role:
Northpower is looking for enthusiastic Trainee Line
Mechanic’s to join our Lines Construction and Maintenance team. This is a great
opportunity to develop a hands-on trade, gain recognised qualifications, and
grow your career in a supportive environment.
Role Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll support the team with the construction
and maintenance of overhead electricity lines, learning to operate electrical
equipment up to 33kV and assisting with the installation and replacement of
pole structures, conductors and hardware. You’ll complete block courses, gain
hands-on experience in the field, and help ensure all documentation,
inspections and reporting are completed accurately. Throughout your training,
you’ll work safely, communicate effectively and contribute to a positive,
productive team environment.
Experience:
You’ll have a NZ Driver Licence, strong communication skills
and a great attitude. You’ll be comfortable working at heights, physically fit
and committed to safe work practices. Most importantly, you’ll be motivated to
learn, willing to develop new skills and passionate about building a long-term
career in the electricity industry.
