We’re looking for a Network Operations Coordinator to join our Electricity Network Operations team. This is a key role where you’ll be right at the centre of real-time fault response, helping keep our network safe, reliable, and running smoothly for our customers.
About the role
As a Network Operations Coordinator, you’ll:
- Manage
real-time responses to faults across the electricity network
- Coordinate
field crews and service providers to ensure timely, safe fault resolution
- Keep
customers informed during outages and fault events
- Maintain
accurate fault and outage information in our systems
- Support
value-added services such as cable locates, close approach, high load
requests, and safety checks
- Play
a part in major network events and storm response (including some
after-hours support)
You’ll work closely with network teams, service providers, contractors, and customers to make sure work is prioritised correctly and completed to a high standard.
What you’ll be doing
- Answering
fault calls calmly and professionally
- Dispatching
and coordinating field resources efficiently
- Updating
outage and fault systems with accurate, timely information
- Providing
quality assurance on fault data and supporting customer invoicing
- Supporting
customer queries and invoice disputes where needed
- Building
strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, retailers, and
councils
- Championing
safety, quality, and continuous improvement in everything you do
About you
You’ll bring:
- Experience
in a call centre, operations, dispatch, or similar fast-paced environment
- Strong
communication skills and an excellent phone manner
- The
ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Customer
service experience, including handling challenging conversations
- High
computer literacy (Salesforce, CRM, Word, Excel; SharePoint a plus)
- A
can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility
to work overtime if required
Experience in the electrical distribution or utilities sector is an advantage, but not essential.
