About the role:
We’re looking for a Connections Design Engineer to join our Contracting team. In this role, you’ll provide design and quote services for electrical customer connections, making sure every job meets Northpower, Vector, and customer standards, while keeping safety front and centre.

You’ll work closely with operational teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver practical, cost‑effective solutions, all while upholding our strong HSQE values.

- Prepare high‑quality designs and quotes for customer connections.
- Carry out site visits, measurements, and scope reviews.
- Ensure designs comply with regulatory, safety, and network standards.
- Work closely with delivery teams to hand over fit‑for‑purpose projects.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to keep things moving.
- Identify risks early and provide cost‑effective, compliant solutions.

About you:
- 2+ years’ estimating experience in the electrical or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of network, safety, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Electrical registration (preferred but not essential).
- A safety-first mindset and proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
