Broadband options are changing in some areas
What's happening?
Chorus NZ is phasing out parts of its copper network, which means home broadband services using copper may soon not be available in some areas. If your address is affected, you’ll receive a letter from Chorus informing you about this change. This decision comes as copper connections no longer meet the increasing technology demands of kiwis around Aotearoa.
But there’s no need to worry! Fibre broadband will be a significant upgrade from your copper connection, offering faster and more reliable internet. Northpower Fibre is excited to support you with all your communication needs now through to your future.
Ultrafast Fibre Broadband (UFB) gives you:
- A more reliable communication network.
- Better online connectivity.
- Higher quality for on-demand TV.
- Lower latency over fibre. (The time it takes to transmit and receive messages)
- A free standard residential connection.
